Protein apple pockets

Protein apple turnover are a delicious and healthy treat that will spoil you with a perfect combination of protein and the refreshing taste of apples.

Ingredients (1 portion):

2 protein wraps

2 apples (preferably sour varieties such as Granny Smith)

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

2 tablespoons xylitol (or another sweetener)

coconut oil

Preparation:

  1. Peel the apples, core them and cut them into small cubes

  2. Heat the coconut oil in a pan and add the apple cubes

  3. Then sprinkle over the cinnamon and xylitol and sauté the mixture over a medium heat for about 5 minutes

  4. Now spread the steamed apple pieces on the protein wraps and fold into a pocket shape

  5. Heat some coconut oil in a pan and fry the apple pockets on both sides over a medium heat until they are golden brown and crispy

  6. Remove the finished protein apple pockets from the pan and leave to cool on a plate before serving
