Vegan tomato soup

This tomato soup is not only super tasty, but also quickly in preparation. It is ideal as a light, warm meal on cool spring evenings or as a delicious starter. Ingredients (4 portions):

1 kg round or meat tomatoes

1 red pepper

1 small chilli

2 cloves of garlic

2 onions

oil

5G fresh basil

3 tablespoons of tomato paste

Vegetable broth

Salt

pepper

Optional: vegetable cream

    Preparation:

    1. Wash the tomatoes, the peppers and the chili pepper
    2. Then scabize everything into small pieces
    3. Peel the onions and the garlic and crush them too
    4. Heat some oil in a saucepan at medium temperature
    5. First sweat in it the garlic, the onions and the chilli pepper until the onions become glassy
    6. Then add the tomatoes, the peppers, the fresh basil and possibly oregano and lovage as well as the tomato paste
    7. Steam everything for about 5 - 10 minutes
    8. Cover everything with vegetable broth and let it simmer for 60 minutes
    9. Puree the ingredients into a creamy soup and taste with pepper and salt
    10. Serve warm and top with a vegetable cream as you like
